Question 1: (a) Evaluate the following FORTRAN expressions:

i) 4*(7/4) + MOD(7,4). EQ.7
ii) ‘829+’// ‘171’
iii) 2*3/4 + 5 **2**3
iv) MAX (IFIX(14–3.7), 4)

(b) Do as directed for each of the following:
(i) Write the sequence of the numbers in which the elements of the following 3 X 2 array are stored in memory in FORTRAN environment.

(ii) Find the value of the real variable x at the end of the execution of the following FORTRAN program segment:

Question 2: Write a FORTRAN program to calculate the correlation coefficient and fitting a straight line using the method of least square from any set of data. Run the program for a sample of about 20 pairs of 2 variables and present the results.

Question 3: Write a FORTRAN program to implement numeric solution of ordinary differential equations using any method. Test your program.
