Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking (PGDLAN)
In keeping with the demand for skill development in Library and Information Science with the application of ICT, IGNOU has developed a one year’s Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Library automation and Networking which will be offered from January 2004.
The programme aims at developing professional competence of the Library and Information Professionals in an automated and networked environment. The programme also provides practical exposure to enhance technological skills of the learners for independently developing or managing a computerized library. At present, this programme is being offered in selected regional/telelearning centers.
The prospectus and student’s handbook can be obtained from the IGNOU Regional Centes at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, New Delhi, Calcutta, Pune, Guwahati and IGNOU(SRE Division).
Eligibility for Admission: A Bachelor’s Degree in library and Information Science (BLiSc)

General Information: The Student Handbook and Prospectus, containing the application form, can be obtained from the following Tele-earning/Regional Centres or from Director (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-11 0068 in person. on payment of Rs. 30/- in cash or through post by sending IPO or Demand Draft of Rs.80/- in favour of IGNOU, at the city of the Reaional Centre/New Delhi as the case may be.

Eligibility for Admission : Bachelor’s degree +3 Administration years’ Supervisory/Managerial/Professional experience as on the last date for receiving the application form for Admission to Management Programme
