Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Eligibility: 1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science/ Application from a recognised/ deemed university OR

2. Non-computer B.Tech/M.Sc. are requi-red to pursue CIC concurrently with MCA 1st year OR

3. Other Graduates after completion of IGNOUs CIC or DCO or CNOC with required score. OR

4. PGDCA from a recognised/ deemed university and a Bachelors Degree

Age: No bar

Min. Duration: 3 years

Max. Duration: 7 years

Course Fee: Rs. 5,500/- in Ist semester + Rs 500/- for PPC for non-Maths students

Medium: English

The admissions will be available for June/July and December/January sessions. Notification about the same will appear in Newspapers and the Website.

IGNOU MCA Fee Information

The programme fee is inclusive of examination fee and is to be paid semester-wise , as per the details appended below:

IV Semester 5400/- Along with the Re-registration form for 4th semester, which will be sent to you by the university

V Semester 5400/- Along with the Re-registration form for 5th semester, which will be sent to you by the university

VI Semester 5400/- Along with the Re-registration form for 6th semester, which will be sent to you by the university

The programme fee is to be paid only by way of demand draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the city where the concerned Regional Centre is located. Xerox copy of the DD should be retained with the student.

Please write your Name and Enrolment Number at the back of the Bank Draft to ensure credit to your fee account.

MCA Lateral Entry System

Invites Application for admission to MCA-III Semester under Lateral Entry Scheme commencing January 2005.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

In order to seek admission to this Programme, a candidate who has qualified a bachelors degree in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level and possesses any of the following qualifications is eligible to apply for qualifying examination to be conducted by IGNOU in June 2004.

i) Successful completion of PGDCA or its equivalent course of not less than one year duration from a recognized University/Deemed University.

ii) Successful completion of A level examination of DoE/MIT after graduation. The completion of A level includes successful completion of Project work also.

iii) Successful completion of Bachelors degree in Computer Applications (BCA) or a graduate with Computer Science as a major subject in each of the three years of a degree programme.

Information Brochure cum Application Form can be obtained from Director, SR&E Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi 110 068 or from IGNOU Regional Centres whose addresses are given below, in person on payment of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in cash.

Filled-in forms along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1000/-(Rupees One thousand only) drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi and all other required documents should reach Director, SR&E, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110 068 by 31st March 2004 positively.
